Community Oncology Connections™: Bridging Academic and Community Expertise in Evidence-Based Care for Desmoid Tumors
November 5, 2026
5:15 PM - 6:15 PM MT
Virtual Regional Meeting | Colorado
Overview:
Desmoid tumors are rare, locally aggressive mesenchymal tumors driven by molecular alterations in the Wnt/APC/β-catenin pathway. Diagnosis remains difficult in community practice, with misdiagnosis occurring in 30%-40% of cases and prolonged diagnostic delays. Many clinicians remain uncertain about molecular workflows, genetic counseling, and how to sequence and manage toxicity from novel therapies.
This program will be delivered as a series of 8 live, CME-certified virtual meetings in collaboration with ACCC-affiliated Oncology State Societies, supported by an enduring online activity. Using an interactive, case-based format tailored to community oncology practice, these virtual meetings include expert presentations on recent data from clinical trials of desmoid tumors, followed by case presentations, discussions and learner question and answers. The initiative is designed to translate evolving clinical evidence into practical, real-world decision-making and support personalized care for patients with desmoid tumors.
